Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Cue, a tracking companion for movies, TV, anime, books, and podcasts, provided by Saturn Cube ("we," "us," "Cue"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

1. What Cue is — and isn't

Cue helps you track, organize, and discover what you watch, read, and listen to. Cue does not stream, host, or provide access to any movie, show, book, or podcast content. Metadata (titles, artwork, descriptions, cast) comes from The Movie Database (TMDB); Cue is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Where you use Cue to link a title to a streaming service or a downloaded file so that "Continue" can open it, Cue only stores a reference — a link, or a local file/folder location — and hands off to whatever app you already have installed (your system's default player, VLC, MX Player, or another app you choose). Cue never accesses, copies, transmits, or streams the underlying file. You are solely responsible for making sure you have the right to possess and play back any file you link, and for complying with applicable copyright law in your jurisdiction.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
You must be old enough to consent to these terms under the laws of your country; Cue is not directed at children under 13.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of anything you create in Cue — reviews, ratings, notes, custom collections. By posting a review or sharing a collection, you grant Cue a license to store, display, and distribute it within the app to the audience you chose (e.g. a friend, or anyone browsing that title's review feed). You're responsible for what you post: don't post anything defamatory, infringing, or unlawful.

4. AI features

Cue Oracle, Vibe Search, and Snap to Cue use Google's Gemini API to generate suggestions or identify a title from an image or description. These are AI-generated outputs and can be wrong — always verify a match before relying on it. Don't submit images or text you don't have the right to share.

5. Acceptable use

Don't: reverse-engineer or scrape the app or its backend; interfere with its normal operation; use it to harass another user; misrepresent your identity; or use Cue to facilitate copyright infringement, including by linking to or distributing unauthorized copies of copyrighted content.

6. Third-party services

Cue integrates with TMDB, Google Gemini, Google/Apple Sign-In, and the video-player apps you choose to hand off to. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms; we aren't responsible for their availability or content.

7. Cost

Cue is currently free to use. We may introduce optional paid features in the future; if we do, we'll tell you clearly before you're charged anything.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put the service or other users at risk.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Cue is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. AI-generated suggestions, TMDB metadata, and third-party watch-provider links are provided for convenience and may be inaccurate or unavailable. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cue is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including anything that happens in a third-party app or service Cue hands off to.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the date above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
